About Mr. Kraemer
Wayne Kraemer is a Senior Lecturer and Director of the award winning LBJ Debate Society and Elton Abernathy Forensics Society at Texas State where his teams have received national and international acclaim. He teaches courses in Argumentation and Debate, as well as Persuasion, Public Speaking, Strategic Sales and Event Planning, and Coaching and Directing Speech and Drama Activities for High School Students.
Mr. Kraemer serves throughout the year as the University Interscholastic League’s Debate Consultant and is the contest manager for the State UIL CX Debate Tournament and the State UIL LD Debate Tournament. He also serves as the Executive Secretary of the Texas Intercollegiate Forensics Association.
Mr. Kraemer has been honored by Pi Kappa Delta (national forensics honorary) with the E. R. Nichols Award for outstanding teaching and coaching. He is also a recipient of the Presidential Award for Excellence in Service from Texas State University, The Brownlee Award for outstanding teaching, scholarship, and service by The Cross Examination Debate Association, The Educator of the Year Award from the Texas Intercollegiate Forensics Association, and the Kevin Simmons Memorial Coaching Award from San Diego State University.
