About Mr. Chilton
Mr. Chilton is currently a Senior Lecturer, teaching courses in Empirical Research Methods, Interpersonal Communication, Small Group Communication, and Fundamentals of Human Communication. His academic interests include instructional communication, nonverbal communication, relationship dynamics, and assessment.
Mr. Chilton also serves as Director of the Communication Lab at Texas State University. As Director, he manages the staff engaged in the assessment and critique of communication performance. In addition, Mr. Chilton oversees the implementation of new technology and methods of assessment to provide the best possible service to Texas State students.

Mr. Chilton has been twice honored with the Golden Apple Award for Undergraduate Teaching as well as the “Favorite Professor” Award from the Alfred H. Noole Chapter of the Alpha Chi National College Honor Society. He formerly served the College of Education at Texas State as the Coordinator of Advising Services and has taught at Austin Community College.
